To work on time AND with homemade breakfast no less! Wow, hope this is a foreshadowing of what this week will be like.
The weekend was awesome even if it did seem too short. I�m all for 3-day weekends every week. Anyone else want to join in on that one?
So I decided that Kay and I need to get out with out cameras. It was bright and sunny and only a light breeze. Very spring-like. She had mentioned not too long agoi that she had never been to see the �weird-tree-sculpture-thing-in-the-middle-of-the-desert, so I decided it was a perfect day for a little roadtrip.

It really is in the middle of nowhere and if you are looking for something silly to do why not drive out to see it right?
Well, after we finished looking at it and getting pictures from multiple angles, we realized we could not turn around and head back. It is a divided highway. Anyway, so we kept heading west, and by the time there was an exit where we could actually get off and turn around, well we were so close to Nevada we decided to keep going. Just over the border is a little casino town (literally, 3 or 4 casinos in a town the size of an airport.
So we went to a casino buffet for lunch, looked at the flashy bling-bling-lights for a minute, and then went out exploring the town. We found some pretty cool stuff including their little airfieldwhere among other historical facts, they store the big plane that was used in the movie ConAir.
Anyway, it was a great day to be out snooping around with our cameras, but it will be a while before I get to those pics. I post pics at least once a day and am still working on pics I took at the beginning of the month.
But all in good time.
