A slippery slope

How much is too much? When is enough, enough?

I see people poo-pooing other people’s struggles for freedom, citing that they don’t know what “real freedom” is. And it really gets me angry about the state of the world and that we always have to compare of who’s got it worse.
Because if you are not in a war-torn city means you have no right to worry about the state of your freedom? No right to hold on to freedom that has already been fought for before it is lost and has to be fought for again.
It’s like minimizing someone’s breast cancer because well at least it wasn’t melanoma on the face that couldn’t be covered…. Oh you got in a car accident and slid into the ditch, well at least it wasn’t a river…
Maybe your spouse doesn’t hit you or isn’t cheating on you, but they nitpick, belittle, undermine everything you attempt to do to have a peaceful existence, does that mean divorce you shouldn’t want better for yourself?
Does the limitation of freedom in any way not mean that we should stand up for it? Before it is too far gone, and we ARE in a war-torn city or country? We should be trying to keep the balance, not calling out others who notice the imbalance simply because somebody else has it worse.
We ALL deserve the chance to make life better. Before it gets really bad. and then people will wonder how we got there, in that really bad place
