I am tired of prickly people. People who you can’t guess when their mood will strike you a blow. People who can’t just take something at face value without looking for malice and responding in kind.

I’m tired of having to be on the defense for every minute of every day.

I used to think it was just me being overly sensitive, but really, I don’t deserve any kind of rudeness when I’m not being rude, when I’m jumping in and doing my best.
